The fastest way to lose weight is to change your behaviors, but being able to change your behavior properly depends on having a good understanding of human behavior. There are a lot of different misconceptions out there about human behavior, but the most common misconception is the idea that we are simple data processors that can take in information and spit out results.
This is not true. Humans are not data processors. In fact, at the end of the day humans are far more like pack animals than computers. We don’t take out cues from information; we take our cues from the people around us. Part of the reason why most of us are so bad at changing our behaviors is because we think about ourselves the wrong way. Realizing that the main motivator for healthy behavior change is other people and following other people can totally revolutionize the way you go about changing how you get thinner.
